GOOD news stories in sport are like gold when there is so much bad behaviour to report. Or in some cases, turn a blind eye.
However, here’s a little gem that must be reported following the weekend visit by a crew of surf lifesavers from the Bondi Rescue television program.
The lads were in the city to compete in the Beachside Radiology Ocean Swims series and one of their number, Jake Nolan, took out one of the main races.
VISITING Bondi Rescue surf lifesaver Jake Nolan improved on his 2010 effort to take out the blue ribbon event at the13th Beachside Radiology Ocean Swim series around the Coffs Harbour Jetty foreshores yesterday.
PRIMARY school students Oliver and Jack Canning took a few minutes away from the classroom yesterday to meet the crew from Bondi Rescue.
With their dad in tow, it was only a short trip down the hill from St Augustine’s to Beachside Radiology in Park Avenue where the surf lifesaving TV stars were promoting Sunday’s 13th Ocean Swim series at Coffs Harbour Jetty.
